Before you choose, six questions

  1. How many pages a month, roughly? The single figure that sizes the machine. Too small and it wears out; too big and you pay for speed you never use.
  2. How much of it is colour?Colour pages cost more to run than black. If most of your printing is mono, the machine and the agreement should reflect that.
  3. Do you need A3?Plans, posters and some forms need it. Most offices do not, and an A4 machine is smaller and cheaper to run.
  4. How much scanning, and to where?Email, shared folders and cloud storage are all set up differently. Tell us where scans should land and we configure it on the day.
  5. Stapling, folding, booklets?Finishing is an option on most models, added at the quote. It is far cheaper to specify now than to add later.
  6. How many people share it?Decides trays, paper capacity and whether one machine is enough. We would rather tell you two smaller ones than sell you one big one.
