Genuine or compatible for this machine?
Both are listed above and each row says who made it. The genuine cartridge is Ricoh's own and carries Ricoh's warranty. A compatible is made by another manufacturer to work in the same machine, and costs less.
Our honest answer, from a long time in this trade. On a machine that is being looked after, a compatible is a real option. On a machine nobody is maintaining, a poor cartridge can streak, leak or damage the imaging unit, and that part costs far more than the cartridge ever saved. On a service agreement the toner and the service are included and you pay for the pages you actually print, whatever the coverage.
