Genuine or compatible for this machine?
Both are listed above and each row says who made it. The genuine cartridge is Ricoh's own and carries Ricoh's warranty. A compatible is made by another manufacturer to work in the same machine, and costs less.
Our honest answer, from a long time in this trade. On a machine that is being looked after, a compatible is a real option. On a machine nobody is maintaining, a poor cartridge can streak, leak or damage the imaging unit, and that part costs far more than the cartridge ever saved. Every cartridge you buy for the Ricoh IM C6000 is a cost you carry on your own. On a service agreement the toner and the service are included and you pay for the pages you actually print, whatever the coverage. Machines can be bought outright, rented, leased or financed, and we take the old one away.
