There is no number on TN-3440 because we will not publish one we cannot stand behind. Genuine Brother toner for this machine is a line where the cartridge discounters sit very close to our own buying price, so a single cartridge bought outright is not where we do our best work for you. We would rather say that than pad the price and hope you do not check.
Two things we can do instead. Tell us the model and we will quote TN-3440 properly, the set as well if you need more than one colour. Or look at a service agreement on the machine: toner is included, you pay a set rate per page whatever the coverage, and on a machine working through toner at this rate it usually lands well under buying cartridges one at a time.
There is a compatible for this one
G&G make a compatible that replaces TN-3440, at $17.95. It is not a Brother product and it does not carry Brother's warranty. On this line the compatible is not the cheaper of the two, so the genuine is the one we would order, but you should know it exists.
Worth knowing before you choose. A compatible cartridge is a real option on a machine that is looked after. On a machine nobody is maintaining, a poor cartridge can streak, leak or take the drum with it, and a drum costs more than the cartridge ever saved. That is the trade, and it is yours to make.
