What the e-STUDIO 2021AC is
An A3 colour multifunction copier rated at about 20 pages a minute: print, copy and scan, with a document feeder on top and a cabinet or paper feeder underneath. It is the current small Toshiba A3 colour machine, bought new by offices that want a new machine with a full warranty without paying for speed they do not need.
What it costs a month in 2026
Brand new, on a 36 month rental. In our quotes this year the e-STUDIO 2021AC has gone out at about $180 to $220 a month plus GST, delivered, installed and set up on your network, with a document feeder and cabinet, on a service agreement that covers toner, parts, labour and travel. Condition, page count and what is fitted move it inside that range. A quote at the top of it is not wrong; a quote below it deserves a question about the machine's history. Rental, lease or hire, 48 and 60 month terms bring the monthly figure down and the total up, so ask what term the figure is over before you compare it with anyone else's.
The pages. On the service agreement we quote the e-STUDIO 2021AC at about 0.6 cents black and 6 cents colour a page, billed on what you actually print. For an office printing 2,000 black and 800 colour pages a month that is about $60 a month, so the machine and its pages together come to about $240 to $280 a month plus GST all in. That all in figure, over the term, is the number to compare between quotes.
What should be in the monthly figure
- Delivery, installation, network setup, scan to email or folder, and the drivers on your computers.
- A document feeder and the cabinet or paper feeder the machine stands on.
- Toner, parts, labour and travel on the service agreement, with no minimum monthly volume.
- Removal of the old machine.
- A warranty that means something: on our agreements, if it fails and cannot be fixed, it is replaced for the term.
Is it the right machine?
At 20 pages a minute the e-STUDIO 2021AC suits an office printing roughly 1,000 to 4,000 pages a month. Below that a smaller or older machine costs less a month for the same result; well above it you will be waiting at the machine and replacing it early, and the next size up costs little more a month.
