A second hand photocopier is the cheapest way into a real A3 office machine, and the most expensive mistake an office makes when it buys the wrong one. What we have
Our second hand machines are refurbished, renewed and ex demo A3 colour copiers from the brands we service every day: Toshiba, Kyocera, HP, Ricoh, Canon and Fujifilm. Most are 20 to 35 pages a minute with a document feeder and cabinet, the size that suits an office of two to thirty people. Second hand, used, refurbished, renewed, ex demo: what each one means here
- Refurbished: a machine that has come off a contract, been through our workshop, had its worn parts replaced, been cleaned, tested and serviced, and is sold with its page count stated.
- Renewed: a refurbished machine with a low count, usually under a third of its rated life, that looks and runs close to new.
- Ex demo: a current model that has done showroom or demonstration work, often with a few thousand pages on it.
- Used or second hand, bought privately or online: a machine with no service history, no agreement and nobody answerable for it afterwards. We buy these too, through our buy back, and we put them through the workshop before they go out again.
What a second hand photocopier costs a month
We quote every machine on a monthly figure, with the service agreement on the same page, so you see the whole cost. A refurbished 20 to 30 page a minute A3 colour copier on a 36 month rental runs about $85 to $155 a month plus GST, delivered, installed and set up, with toner, parts, labour and travel on the agreement and the pages billed on what you print. Renewed and ex demo machines sit a little higher. What you get with ours

Before you buy a second hand photocopier from anyone
- Ask for the page count, in writing, and what was replaced. A 25 page a minute colour machine is rated for a million pages or so; under 300,000 is a good one.
- Ask who services it and what the pages will cost. On a machine with no agreement, a drum or a fuser is a four figure repair.
- Ask whether the price includes delivery, installation and the cabinet. A bare machine on a pallet is not a cheaper machine.
- Check the toner: a machine sold with empty cartridges can cost several hundred dollars before it prints a page.
- Get a second quote. Send us the one you have and we will compare it in writing, free.
Who buys second hand from us
Small offices that want A3 without the price of new, real estate agencies, schools and churches, accountants and law firms replacing a machine at the end of a lease, and offices that have been quoted a new machine and would rather pay half as much a month for a refurbished one with the same service behind it.
