You will see these written as two groups of three digits joined together, such as 077-101 or 010-327. Codes in the 005 chain come from the document feeder, 010 from the Fusing Unit, 071 to 078 from the trays and paper path, 091 to 094 from the drums, toner, developer and transfer, and 016, 027 and 116 from the controller and network. Write the whole code down before you do anything else.
The manual sorts the links into the classes below. They are a good guide to how serious a code is, though not every code follows them exactly.
How Fujifilm codes are sorted
Local or service fail. An option or a connected device such as a fax card has failed. The services that do not use it, such as copying and scanning, keep working.
System fail. The machine or one of its subsystems cannot run. Switching off and on is the only thing a user can try, and if that does not clear it the machine needs a technician.
Information. Not a fault: the machine is warning that a part such as a drum or the Fusing Unit is close to its replacement point.
History only. Nothing shows on the panel and the machine keeps working. A technician sees these in the machine's log.
Job fail or warning. The job could not finish, or was finished with changed settings. Trying the job again often works; if it keeps failing, call us.
Operation error. The job pauses until you clear the cause, such as loading paper or closing a cover, then carries on.
Before you call
- Write down all six digits of the code and what the machine was doing when it appeared.
- For a jam code, open the cover the panel shows and remove the paper gently. For anything else, switch the machine off, wait a minute, and switch it back on. Many communication and system codes clear this way.
- If the code comes back, or it is a Fusing Unit code in the 010 chain, stop there. Repeated restarts will not fix the cause, and the fusing area runs hot.
- Call us with the code and the model name on the front of the machine. The chain tells the technician which parts to bring.

005: document feeder (DADF)
The document feeder on top that pulls originals across the scanner.

Messages that are not faults
A Toner Cartridge is running low or has run out. Not a fault: fit a new cartridge. On a service agreement, order it from the customer portal.
The Waste Toner Bottle needs replacing. Not a fault, but the machine stops printing once it is full.
A Drum Cartridge is close to or past its replacement point. At life end, printing is restricted until it is replaced.
A wear part has nearly reached its count. Book a service so it is fitted before it causes a fault.
Load paper, or push the tray fully home. Call if the tray is in and loaded but the message stays.
The account entered is not registered on the machine. Check your account details with whoever looks after the machine's accounts.
